Dog Training

Literally from birth I have lived with and been around dogs - all sorts of dogs from Jack Russels to Bichon Frise, a Staffy and mixed breeds! My family have always loved dogs. Back in 2021 we became failed foster parents to Ellie who was a very anxious Poochon who displayed some aggressive tendencies. I had to deep dive into learning more about dog training to understand my dog better and be able to help her. This was the start of my training journey.

Today, we have 4 dogs including Ellie, Nico the Maltipoo, Waffle the Cavapoochon and Bella the Portuguese Water Dog, all rescues who have needed extra help and guidance and have joined our family to get the help they needed.

My dogs have been the inspiration to study and learn more about dogs and what prompted me to become trainer. I undertook a dog training certification programme with The Dog Training College, qualifying in September 2022, whilst also gaining experience helping at another dog training company. In July 2023 I received a Diploma in Canine Behavioural Training and in February 2024 received a further Diploma with the Canine Instructor Academy for Practical Training.

I appreciate that finding a dog trainer can be a minefield and understand that it is important to have ‘real’, fun and uncomplicated dog training, that you can use in everyday life. I teach using rewards-based training methods and will guide you how to correct any unwanted behaviours.
